Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Architect

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) Architect to lead the architecture, design, and delivery of enterprise-scale digital commerce solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in SFCC architecture, eCommerce platforms, integrations, and the ability to drive technical strategy while collaborating with business and technology stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and design scalable Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) architecture solutions.
• Lead technical architecture discussions and provide strategic guidance for digital commerce initiatives.
• Design end-to-end commerce solutions aligned with business goals and technical standards.
• Own SFCC architecture, solution design, integrations, and implementation best practices.
• Collaborate with product owners, business teams, developers, and enterprise architects.
• Provide technical leadership to SFCC development teams.
• Review solution designs, code quality, performance, security, and scalability.
• Drive integration architecture with external systems including ERP, CRM, payment gateways, and third-party platforms.
• Support technical delivery, troubleshooting, performance optimization, and production enhancements.
• Stay updated with Salesforce Commerce Cloud capabilities and industry best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of experience in software development with strong experience in Salesforce Commerce Cloud.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC) / Demandware.
• Strong understanding of SFCC architecture, SFRA, and eCommerce solution design.
• Experience designing enterprise-level digital commerce platforms.
• Strong knowledge of JavaScript, ISML, HTML, CSS, and web technologies.
• Experience with SFCC integrations, APIs, and middleware solutions.
• Understanding of cloud architecture, security, performance optimization, and scalability.
• Experience leading architecture discussions and mentoring technical teams.
• Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Skills

• Salesforce Commerce Cloud certifications.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and release management.
• Knowledge of Agile delivery methodologies.
• Experience working with global enterprise clients and distributed teams.
• Understanding of omnichannel commerce solutions.
